Retired some years back after a varied career and now at the age of 80 and years of computer interests in numerous applications, have decided to create a new website, with the aim of keeping the old grey cells active. The reason for the website title is my obsession with the last aircraft that I worked on as an Electrical Engineer and also helped keep two of the jets in working condition years after I completed a 22 year tour in the Royal Air Force.
My main hobby these days is in photography, a subject that I first encountered at age 15 in Dundee, Scotland. I was employed in darkroom work, commercial photography and also a spell in the photographic retail trade. My camera at present is a Panasonic Lumix ZX200
I love DIY and mainly woodworking, but electronics is also on the list, keeping up with the latest incarnations in technology. I enjoyed website design over the years, and now find time to start this new project which hopefully folks will read and enjoy.
I also dabble in Jewellery making , working with silver mainly, old silver coins are a great start and relatively inexpensive. I have made lots of necklaces and rings to date.
Some time back I bought a scroll saw which I find makes great pieces, a bird table was one of my first projects, but have made several other items since.
